@MrCyanGaming This could have happened in a variety of ways.
From what I know, the credits system is still an infant in the way being fully finished so it may be prone to glitches and bugs. Please post down here how many credits you did have, and what time you noticed there were gone as it would be a great help to those (such as @Koala_Steamed) who can use it to determine the cause.

We are changing to a different credits system and unfortunately the old ones were lost. With the new system there are quite a lot more variables that we can change so hopefully more things can be added.
Just means we all need to post more often. The more we post the more rewards we can get.

As freedom has had to re-install the system and reset all the points unfortunately everyone has lost their credits. But hey, atleast we are on a fair playing field.
