anyone have any suggestions on recording software for pc to record games like sims 3

we use FRAPS is very heavy for the cpu but is a great software for recording!

Bandicam or Camtasia.

the only problem i have with fraps is that the file is to big takes 20-30 gb for a video and if i use a compression file size it will lose quality

Yeah, Fraps does give you really BIG files but the quality is great and worth it in my book! You can always try out Camtasia too!

I like to use OBS (Open Broadcaster Software), since it is really easy to use and has very good quality!

I have to agree with above, OBS is pretty good and as its free also its a win win

Limited experience with OBS but I've generally gotten small files sizes with it. I tend to use Dxtory however when it's available as an option (Which it usually is). However it has a problem with large file sizes as well.

I use an open source software called Loilo Game Recorder. It seems to be pretty consistent, and the file sizes aren't insanely huge.

I use milliris Action. It does cost, but personally, I like it.
