If you are a student you may be able to get a free student version. Otherwise there are lots of free alternatives like GIMP or paint.net
I have found it now but I would rather not be stuck in a 1 year contract with them so I still want to try to get it for free.
you can always cancel the contract so you don't have to pay once the 1 year is up.
I think they offer a free 30 day trial you can sign up for. I used to make several emails and just keep getting the trial. It usually lasts for longer than 30 days. Otherwise I don't think there is a free version, at least it wasn't free when I was using it as a student, I only got it at a discounted price. You can always try some of the free programs like gimp that are almost identical to photoshop. Honestly, even the discounted student version I used was totally worth the price.
