blue snowball man i bought mine for $50 few years back cant fault it! just check out all of my videos to see if its good enough quality for you!...

or you could try using audacity effects... they can change the quality of the audio even with a crappy mic! just watch some yt vids on audacity settings

If it's just yourself commentating you might as well save some money and get the blue snowball but for more complicated stuff, setting up a full studio say for a green screen or live, in person interviews and podcasts or anything a bit more complicated. Dish out for the yeti, so much better in that regard.

If you have a good microphone and a good interface that's all you need. Currently I'm using Audio Technica AT2035 mic and Scartlett 2.2i interface. As for sound quality it's really good and balanced. If you have good equipments you won't be needing expensive software unless you are doing music stuffs. Hope that's helpful. Cheers!

For commercial voice acting: CAD E100S
For online commission voice acting: MPM 2000
For the general purpose voice over: CAD GXL2400USB

I would advise AGAINST getting any of the Blue Mics since you can get the CAD GXL2400 USB for a mere $30, which is cheaper than the Yeti and the Snowball, and still have great sound quality. It being a large diaphragm microphone pretty much beats the Blue mics by a ton.

If you want to have a great sounding setup that's cheaper than the Yeti, then get an MXL770 and a Behringer U-phoria UM2. This set up is already enough to get you into commercial voice acting.

But, again, if you're just doing video voice over, then skip the Blue mics, get a CAD GXL2400 USB. If they're not your thing, always remember this rule of thumb: Never EVER buy a USB mic that's above $70.
