If the greeting in the email says your name, such as: Dear YouTubers Exposed, Then the email is 99% from PayPal. However, if the email says something like: Dear PayPal User, Then it is not from PayPal. Paypal emails always use your name in the greeting.

Also incorrect. You can create a support ticket with Freedom! and you can ask them to make a request to YouTube to verify your channel. I believe you need 10k subscribers for Freedom to even consider doing it. Don't quote me on that.
